Jake founded the Bay Area Wrestling Foundation after years of experience in the classroom and on the mat.
As a Kinesiology major at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, Jake was a Pac-12 scholar athlete.
In 2009, he won three gold medals at the third largest sporting event in the world (The Maccabiah Games). He also won the Munich Grand Prix Open in Tel Aviv, Israel. (This is why we have a separate endowment to give to Maccabiah athletes in need of financial assistance traveling and training for the games every 4 years).
After a successful college career, Jake went on to work at Apple, Inc where he helped to develop the exercise and fitness portion of the first Apple Watch.
Taking from his education and experience, after attending seminars and getting certified in strength and conditioning for combat athletes, he opened his own gym in San Jose, California.
There he teaches and mentors youth and professional athletes of all ages. He also helps run numerous clubs around the Bay Area, and is affiliated with many programs, helping in financial resources, training programs, and more.
At BAYWF, we don’t just focus on wrestling but amateur and professional sports across the board. We help to develop youth athletes in sports such as football, softball, track and field, etc.
